A Warm Welcome to Glory Onwuka, G-CAN’s Incoming Executive Director

We’re thrilled to announce that Glory Onwuka will join G-CAN as our incoming Executive Director in October 2026. Glory will work closely with Rebecca Hill to ensure a smooth and successful transition before Rebecca begins her well-earned retirement at the end of December. Glory first joined G-CAN in July as a volunteer Executive Director Intern, assisting in preparations for our 2026 Annual Research Symposium. With master’s degrees in Global Health and Integrated Biomedical & Life Sciences, Glory brings more than a decade of experience in global health, scientific organizations, strategic partnerships, and nonprofit operations.

After seven years of dedicated service to G-CAN and 40 years in the health sciences field, Rebecca is looking forward to spending more time with family, traveling, and ice skating. Together, Glory and Rebecca will lead this year’s annual meeting, a memorable first for Glory and a meaningful finale for Rebecca, as we celebrate their contributions and look ahead with excitement to G-CAN’s next chapter.

You can expect to see communications from Glory in the coming weeks. Her G-CAN email is Glory@g-can.org.
